Mythical old poster that made scandal at the time when we can see a provocative and undressed Sophie Dahl for the perfume of the brand YSL photographed by Steven Meisel (American fashion photographer). Very rare poster especially in its new original condition.
This poster is probably one of the most remarkable to have promoted the YSL brand. At the initiative of the artistic director of the time, Tom Ford, Meisel realized this sensual shot evoking the position of opium smokers in the nineteenth century, in hallucinogenic trance. This campaign was a major turning point in the career of model Sophie Dahl, represented on this poster. And for good reason, the posting was immediately censored in England, deemed too pornographic. It was enough to make this scandal a global publicity.
